Getting ready to hit the road on a business trip soon? At TravelManor we’re always looking for ways to make our clients’ journeys a little less stressful and a little more enjoyable, which includes those dreaded flights there and back. Here are a few cool new gadgets that we’ve found that are tailor-made to make your life a lot easier while you travel for work:
Sure, you can make one with your phone, but those data charges go bonkers when you try and use it at an airport or pretty much anywhere that isn’t in your country of origin. Fortunately you can now purchase a combination Wifi hotspot and powerbank (genius!) that you can load with 'day passes' that are subject to a flat fee. These beauties are available from one of the biggest online retailers out there, so have a snoop around. Best of all? You can hook up to FIVE devices to the hotspot, so it's suitable for when you're travelling in a group, with friends or your family.
When you’re trying to travel green (i.e. not create a lot of waste as you go), it helps to have a reusable water bottle on hand. Depending on how long you’ll be travelling, using your own bottle can save up to 25 plastic bottles from going into our landfills or oceans. However, those suckers can be bulky. Happily, there are now collapsible water bottles available on the market that will save you a bundle of space in your carry-on and daypack. Similarly, frequent flyers can now invest in comfortable sneakers that roll up to the size of socks. These are an absolute lifesaver if you need to run to a meeting straight from the airport, but don’t want to spend the whole flight in your high heels or oxfords.
Have you heard about the epic travel hoodie that was funded through Kickstarter? It’s amazing! Plus, you can now buy it in one of four styles - bomber, sweatshirt, windbreaker and blazer (great for business trips). Why is it so wonderful? It comes with 25 nifty features that include a neck pillow, earphone holder, eye mask, microfibre cloth, passport pocket, pen & stylus space, charger pocket, gloves and more. All built into the design! If there is one thing you should splurge on as a frequent traveller, this should be it.
